Karen Williams is a part-time contract event coordinator for NACOLE, supporting the Executive Director ad Director of Training in their duties. Ms. Williams has been in the field of oversight since 2001 as a Senior Legal Analyst for the Office of Community Complaints in Kansas City, Missouri – the oldest continually operating oversight agency in the United States. Karen served on the board of NACOLE from 2010 to 2018, chairing the newsletter, membership engagement, and conference committees and serving as the organization’s secretary for several years. She received her Bachelor’s degree in History and Politics from Cornell College in Mount Vernon, Iowa and her Master’s in Public Affairs with a concentration in Nonprofit and Community Services Management from Park University in Parkville, MO. She is an active volunteer in her community and resides in Kansas City with her husband.
