This forum will focus on solitary confinement. We will hear a presentations from Professor Jessica Simes on the impact and racial disparities in the long-term use of solitary and other forms of restricted housing.

The presentation will be followed by Q&A and open discussion facilitated by Noah Barth, NACOLE member and Prison Monitoring Director for the Pennsylvania Prison Society. Forum attendees are encouraged to bring specific questions and resources related to the topic as this is an opportunity to exchange insight and suggestions with the JPO community.
