NACOLE invites you to our next quarterly online virtual forum for jail and prison oversight (JPO) on August 19th 1:00 – 2:00pm ET.

This forum will focus on Arizona's newly authorized Independent Correctional Oversight Office. We will be joined by State Representative Walt Blackman, John Fabricius of Praxis Initiative (formerly ATAC), and Lauren Krisai of Justice Action Network.

They will discuss the road to passage, lessons learned, and some of the challenges they see ahead. The presentation will be followed by Q&A and open discussion facilitated by Amarik Singh, Chair of the NACOLE Jail and Prison Oversight Committee, and Inspector General of the California Office of the Inspector General. 

Forum attendees are encouraged to bring specific questions and resources related to the topic as this is an opportunity to exchange insight and suggestions with the JPO community. NACOLE members and employees of agencies holding organizational memberships are invited to participate. Registration is not required; however, please note that the capacity for the forum is 100 participants.
