Alicia Zeringue joined NACOLE in July 2025 as Marketing & Communications Consultant, bringing more than 17 years of experience in strategic communications, advocacy, and program management. Throughout her career, she has built a reputation for designing and executing campaign strategies that align seamlessly with organizational goals, leveraging a dynamic mix of advertising, marketing, and grassroots outreach to drive meaningful impact. She's excited to apply this expertise to support NACOLE’s mission and help to advance the field of civilian oversight of law enforcement.
Currently based in Lafayette, LA, Alicia has spent the past four years immersed in the performing arts sector, where she further honed her storytelling and community engagement skills. Her professional journey has also included leading community grantmaking and public lands advocacy efforts in Aspen, CO, as well as addressing critical issues like housing, workforce development, and community revitalization in Baltimore, MD.
Alicia holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Towson University in Baltimore, and is a 2014 Aspen Institute Sector Skills Academy Marano Fellow — a program based in Washington, D.C., focused on sector-based workforce and economic development strategies to expand opportunities for under-skilled and low-wage workers.
Alicia brings a nuanced perspective and a deep commitment to inclusive, effective communication. Outside of work, she loves spending time outdoors — running, biking, skiing, and riding her motorcycle, as well as attending concerts and music festivals with her husband.
