In partnership with the New York City Civilian Complaint Review Board, NACOLE is excited to announce that it will hold the first of two regional meetings in 2025 in New York City on May 13, 2025. We hope that you will be able to join us for this much-anticipated and important event, which will take place at the New York City College of Technology in Brooklyn.
This Regional Meeting is a training and networking event geared toward a variety of audiences, including oversight practitioners, community members, justice system stakeholders, and academics, among others. It will seek to address issues important to the region and those who support, are interested in, or work in the field of civilian oversight of law enforcement. Panels include:
- The State(s) of Civilian Oversight
- Building Community Trust and Resilience: Strengthening Civilian Oversight from the Ground Up
- Resource Allocation and Sustainability: Ensuring the Long-Term Viability of Civilian Oversight
- Part of the Solution: A Discussion with Advocates and Changemakers Making a Difference in Civilian Oversight
The Regional Meeting is open to all who wish to attend. The fee for registration is $55. The fee includes a full day of educational panels and a continental breakfast. If you are unable to afford the full cost of registration, please email [email protected] to discuss. If the full registration fee is cost-prohibitive (for those not seeking CLE or CPO credits), the fee will be waived or covered by donations. To the extent possible, no one will be turned away due to an inability to pay.
Registration fees are non-refundable, except in the event of emergencies. In the event of an emergency, please email [email protected]. Please note, if a refund is issued, a $20 processing fee will be withheld.
