Join us for the final NACOLE webinar of 2025, where a panel of experts will provide an overview of the California Office of the Inspector General’s Medical Inspection Unit (MIU), which oversees the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), as well as California Correction Health Care Services (CCHCS), and the medical care they provide to California’s incarcerated population. The presentation will clarify MUI's approach to this oversight, its process, and reporting, including key takeaways about the reasons for each. The presentation will also discuss MUI's trend tracking and analysis, and the critical value of this information and how it has shaped the future of MUI's oversight.
