This year, the National Association for Civilian Oversight of Law Enforcement (NACOLE) is very excited to be hosting its 29th Annual Conference in Chicago, Illinois. The conference will take place from November 12-16, 2023. For the past 28 years, NACOLE has held an annual conference that brings together the ever-growing community of civilian oversight practitioners, community members, law enforcement officials, academics, journalists, elected officials, students, and others to meet and exchange information and ideas about issues facing civilian oversight and law enforcement. This year's annual conference will bring together experts from the United States and around the world to discuss ways in which we can build better oversight and, as a result, better public safety systems. Speakers will share information on strengthening and innovating the work of police, jail, and prison oversight and provide training for individuals already working as civilian oversight practitioners.
