2021 COVID Protocols

Greeting NACOLE Family!

It has been a very long time since we have seen any of you in person. Now that our 27th Annual Conference in Tucson, Arizona is approaching, I want to share how the NACOLE Board plans to bring all of you together while keeping everyone as safe as possible.

As you all know, COVID-19 still poses a risk to many in our community. Because of this we have decided to take the following precautions at this year’s event in Tucson to protect you and those you will come in contact with:

  • Participants must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or provide proof of a negative PCR test completed within 72-hours of the start of the annual conference. We also advise those eligible to receive boosters and take advantage of this additional level of protection.
  • Attendees will be asked to wear masks over their face and nose while in the conference meeting rooms.
  • Food and beverage will be provided but we will ask that you enjoy them outside of the meeting rooms to limit the amount of time people are unmasked while in a confined space.

We are currently setting up a safe and confidential portal where you can upload a copy of your CDC vaccination card. We also recommend you have your card or a photo of it when you arrive in case it is needed for verification purposes. PLEASE REMEMBER: You will not be allowed to participate in the conference without proof of vaccination or a negative PCR test. We are committed to making sure that all participants are as safe as possible for our first in person conference in more that two years.

Please note that there are acres and acres of outdoors space and seating at the hotel. We have also limited the hours and sessions that we will be confined inside and when possible, we will be holding events outdoors. Please know that much of the conference will be inside – so please come prepared and protected for not only yourself but all those you will come in contact with.

We will continue to send additional updates as they are available.

We look forward to seeing all of you next month. If you haven’t already registered, we still have space. Please visit nacole.org for more information about this year in-person schedule and how to register.
