Welcome to our new, redesigned website. It reflects NACOLE’s goals of providing the best possible information, resources and technical support to those involved with civilian oversight of law enforcement and to foster networking.

The website has been reorganized to make it easier for users, especially those visiting for the first time, to find their way around and utilize its resources. We have added some exciting new features that will enhance communication and provide valuable information for people interested in civilian oversight issues.

Our Resources section has been updated and expanded, and now includes a section listing articles, books, papers and other information for those seeking to establish oversight. We are compiling a database profiling individual oversight agencies in the United States, with information about each agency, including its scope and authority, and with links to its enabling legislation and documents governing its operations.

The NACOLE Listserv has been moved from Yahoo Groups to our website and now features online discussion forums devoted to specific topics, along with a forum specifically for NACOLE members. We also have links to archived Listserv postings on compelling issues and to articles that appeared in the NACOLE newsletter.

We hope you find the website and NACOLE’s other resources useful. We welcome your feedback and any suggestions for material you think should be added to the website.
