Civilian Oversight of Law Enforcement: A Road to Building Community Trust

NACOLE, in partnership with the St. Louis Civilian Oversight Board, is proud to announce the next event in the 2016 Regional Meeting Series. This November, those working in and around civilian oversight of law enforcement will gather to discuss civilian oversight and its importance in building better communication and relationships between law enforcement and the communities they serve.

In addition to the networking opportunities that will take place, national and local experts will come together to discuss the following topics:

  • Overview of civilian oversight of law enforcement in St. Louis and across the country

  • Building bridges between law enforcement and communities

  • De-escalation of force policies

  • Bias-based policing

  • Effective communication with law enforcement

NACOLE Regional Events allow those working in, for, and around civilian oversight to gain knowledge and the opportunity to establish additional connections with those doing similar work in the area of police accountability.
