visit www.NACOLE.org this winter/spring for information and updates
Since 1995 NACOLE has been bringing together individuals and agencies working to establish or improve oversight of police officers in the United States by hosting an annual training and networking conference (“Annual Conference”). NACOLE invites you to join us in this opportunity for citizens, practitioners of civilian oversight, law enforcement officials, elected and community leaders and other interested stakeholders to engage in constructive dialogue about the principles and practice of civilian oversight of law enforcement. The conference has a long standing commitment to providing a forum for the exchange of information and ideas regarding civilian oversight, law enforcement and how they both affect the communities we live in. Conference delegates will have the chance to discuss police accountability topics such as electronic control weapons, critical incidents, biased policing, procedural justice and how to make lasting reforms.
Attendance at the Annual Conference typically ranges from 200 to 300. The majority of participants are from the United States; however, we also have strong international representation every year. Countries represented have included Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Jamaica, South Africa, Kenya, Zaire, Australia, New Zealand, Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, Great Britain, Austria, Belgium, and Norway.
See attachment for tentative conference daily schedule.
