ELECTION COMMITTEE PROCEDURES*

Declaring Candidacy:

The Election Committee shall send a Declaration of Candidacy Form enclosed with the conference information packet to all members. (Covered in the following section.)

The members shall have until August 28, 2006 to file Declarations of Candidacy with the Election Committee Chair, Robin M. Lolar, 400 South 4th Street, Suite 1004, Minneapolis, MN. 55415 or fax to (612) 673-5510. If members elect to fax their declaration, they should also forward the original declaration to the above address. The ballot for elections of officers and Board of Directors shall be final on the deadline date of August 28, 2006.

The exception shall be nominations submitted from the floor on the day of the elections.

Announcements:

The Election Committee will post the Candidates on the NACOLE website.

The Election Committee will send all members a sample ballot form, and a proxy form.

In addition, the Election Committee will send Organizational Members a letter with the request to indicate one designated voter. To be mailed or Fax to: Election Committee Chair, Robin M. Lolar, 400 South 4th Street, Suite 1004, Minneapolis, MN. 55415. Fax (612) 673-5510.

Proxy Vote:

The Election Committee must receive a copy of the proxy vote form by September 18, 2006, returned to the Election Committee Chair, Robin M. Lolar, 400 South 4th Street, Suite 1004, Minneapolis, MN. 55415 or Fax to (612) 673-5510.

The holder of the proxy vote should present the original proxy vote form during the conference on or before Tuesday, September 27, 2006, by delivery to a member of the Election Committee: Robin Lolar or Charles Reynolds.

The Election Committee reserves the right to establish certification of proxies.

Progress Report:

The Election Committee Chair shall provide the Board of Directors with a progress report on the election and the candidates for office by July 28, 2006.

Election:

Elections shall be held through a secret ballot process. Ballots will list the names of the persons who have appropriately filed Declarations of Candidacy and will provide spaces for members to write in names of members appropriately nominated from the floor.

The ballot form shall be at the discretion of the Election Committee.

The Election Committee shall be responsible for the distribution of ballots.

All regular members and organizational designees shall be entitled to vote in the elections provided that they are in good standing at least by August 28, 2006.
